Research Lennar customer satisfaction reviews specifically — not just Stillwater. Visit completed Lennar homes in St. Johns County before touring Stillwater model homes.
Stillwater's "25 minutes to Jacksonville and 25 minutes to St. Augustine" position is real. It is also 25 minutes from everything — neither city is close. For buyers who plan to use restaurants, cultural venues, or medical facilities in either city regularly, the drive is manageable but not trivial. If walkable urban access matters in daily retirement life, eTown (Jacksonville adjacent) or Cascades WGV (St. Augustine adjacent) serve better.
The Bobby Weed design is genuine and the course is legitimate. But the condition of the course is a function of HOA maintenance budgets. In communities where golf is included in HOA, course maintenance competes with other capital needs for funding. Review the HOA reserve study and verify what annual course maintenance budget is allocated. A beautiful design on an underfunded maintenance budget deteriorates over time.
