The Four RSCW Courses

Grandview Golf Course
Par 72 · Up to 6,700 yards

Classic parkland layout with mature trees and well-established fairways. Wide fairways make it the most forgiving of the four courses — ideal for mid-to-high handicap players. The opening holes are straightforward; the back nine has more challenge. Strong league play culture on this course. Very popular for regular morning rounds.

Stardust Golf Course
Par 72 · Up to 6,500 yards

Desert-influenced design with natural desert vegetation on several holes. Slightly tighter than Grandview with more target-golf elements. Good test for mid-handicap players who want more challenge than Grandview offers without the difficulty of the top courses. Multiple water features add visual interest and strategic challenge.

Briarwood Golf Course
Par 72 · Up to 6,400 yards

Shorter and more playable overall — the friendliest course for higher handicap players and those recovering from injuries who need a less physically demanding round. Well-maintained, quiet atmosphere. A good choice for casual golf with friends rather than competitive league rounds.

Trail Ridge Golf Course
Par 72 · Up to 6,800 yards

The most challenging RSCW course — longer, tighter, with more elevation change than the other three. Best suited for lower handicap players who want a genuine test. Strong demand for tee times from the more serious Sun City West golfers. The course that gives RSCW golf its best reputation among non-residents who occasionally play here as guests.

Golf Value — What 72 Holes Costs vs Alternatives

At roughly $35/round average for residents (including cart), a golfer playing 4 rounds per week runs approximately $7,300/year in green fees — on top of the ~$525 annual assessment. Total golf cost: approximately $7,800/year for a serious golfer.

Compare to PebbleCreek: HOA of $3,600/year covers golf course access, but golfers still pay cart fees. A dedicated golfer at PebbleCreek may pay less in green fees (course access included) but the baseline HOA is already $3,000+ above RSCW's annual assessment. The total cost advantage depends entirely on how often you play.
